On November 1st, the Propeller Club hosted the prestigious AMVER Awards Ceremony at the elegant Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel, celebrating merchant vessels and their crews for their voluntary participation in the Automated Mutual Assistance Vessel Rescue (AMVER) system, a global initiative led by the U.S. Coast Guard to enhance maritime search and rescue operations. As they mingled, they enjoyed welcome cocktails, accompanied by the soothing melodies of a talented harp player, setting an elegant and refined atmosphere.
